A Word from the Founder, Charlotte Smithson
As an extremely shy child, I fell behind tremendously at school and was written 'off' by many teachers as a failure.
Well, after every knock down, I got back up and ended up going to university and carved a magnificent career for myself working with the things I love most in life, 'animals' and 'people'.
What I'm most proud of is, despite my supervisor at Guide Dog's telling me, I'd never make a good dog trainer, I have successfully trained hundreds of dogs as well as Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and Therapy Dogs.
I am now renowned for my wealth of knowledge and experience and receive 15-20% more referrals than the industry standard - which is a dismal 3%
And Since my Students get results, they stay with me through all the stages of their dog's development!

Introductory Phase
This is where most dogs enter The Therapy Dog Formula.
Care givers have introduced most concepts of training to them, but they are not yet reliable.
Development Phase
Many dogs have reached the development phase as this is a natural progression in training.
However, if some of the steps have been missed, then training often breaks down.
Consolidation Phase
This is the trickiest phase as all dogs need to be educated in all environments and situations for their skills to be reliable within those settings.
